SECURITY

The FR 102 system is managed by an autopilot to which various systems (electromagnetic actuators) are connected to reproduce the manoeuvres and actions usually performed by the pilot.

. The critical elements of the aircraft architecture are dual (central control unit and wing actuators, among others)
If the aircraft is piloted by the ground operator, the onboard software • prevents any manoeuvres considered inadequate or dangerous
• Intelligent management of the switch from Line of Sight communication to satellite communication (and vice versa)
• Intelligent management of satellite communication in order to reduce communication costs
• Option of predefining the flying area of the FR 102 by establishing the authorized
and/or no fly zones: Should a failure occur in the main computer, the FR 102 is
programmed to give security precedence over fulfilment of its mission (protection of
people and property)
• The architecture of the soft wing enables the FR 102 to glide to the ground, even in
the case of major problems such as engine and/or electrical failure
• In anticipation of an unlikely hazard, the FR 102 is fitted with a rapid deployment
ballistic emergency parachute
• The onboard pilot option enables the fulfilment of numerous dedicated missions
